Readings of the major writers from the Enlightenment through the contemporary period. Includes authors such as Moliére, Voltaire, Goethe, Wordsworth, Ibsen, Kafka, and Beckett. A scholarly paper is required.

Prerequisite: EGL 1023 (or Honors counterpart)
