ECN 4423 Economic Growth and DevelopmentThree hours (On Campus) A survey of the major economic and social challenges facing developing nations. Traditional and contemporary models of growth and development are studied, with an emphasis on the problems related to poverty, population growth, urbanization, health, and education. Consideration is given to the global context for economic development, especially relating to international trade and foreign aid. Meets the Social and Behavioral Sciences requirement of the Core Curriculum.
Prerequisite: ECN 2123 Offered on campus Fall semester (odd-numbered years)
