ENVAS 3784 Environmental JusticeFour hours (Au Sable) History, core concepts and theories of the environmental justice movement that provide a framework for understanding and addressing inequalities of human interactions with the environment. Examination of gender, race/ethnicity and economic class in a justice framework and application to the distribution and burden of environmental hazards. Structural and community factors at the local, regional, and global scales are addressed with an emphasis on consequences to human health and effective responses. Offered Online.
