CHM 3173 Biochemistry IIThree hours (On Campus) A study of the molecules involved in heredity with an emphasis on regulatory processes. Topics include: DNA/RNA structure and topology, genome organization, chromatin structure, epigenetic modifications, mutations, DNA replication and repair, recombination, transcription, RNA processing, and protein translation. Three hours lecture-discussion per week.
Prerequisite: CHM 3163 or BIO 2174 Corequisite: CHM 3121 Offered on campus Spring semester (odd-numbered years)
