CHM 3163 Biochemistry I

Three hours (On Campus)

A study of macromolecular and metabolic biochemistry with an emphasis on carbohydrates, lipids, and proteins and an introduction to nucleic acids. The chemical basis for biological phenomena, bioenergetics, and metabolic regulation is stressed. Three hours lecture-discussion per week.

Prerequisites: BIO 1121 and BIO 1123; CHM 3141 and CHM 3143
