HST 3493 Mental Health and Modern Psychology in American HistoryThree hours (On Campus) This course examines the role that modern psychology and conceptions of mental health have played in American history, from the nineteenth century to the present. Central themes include the evolving impact of modern psychology on American society, politics, culture, and religion, as well as changing attitudes toward mental and emotional health among American citizens, families, and institutions.
