Two hours (On Campus)
This course provides an introduction to the principles of hydrology, focusing on the movement, distribution, and management of water in natural and engineered systems. Topics include the hydrologic cycle, precipitation, evapotranspiration, surface runoff, infiltration, groundwater flow, and river and reservoir routing. Students will apply hydrologic modeling techniques to analyze watershed behavior and design water management systems such as storm-water drainage, flood control, and irrigation. This course prepares students for advanced study and professional practice in water resources engineering and environmental engineering. Two hours lecture-discussion per week. This lecture must be taken with CE 3341 .

Prerequisites: ME 3341  and ME 3342
Corequisite: CE 3341
