ART 3563 Photo 6: History of Photography

Three hours (On Campus)
This course examines photographic history and the medium’s role in both reflecting and shaping the cultural, social, political, economic, and scientific context of modernity from 1839-now. Emphasis will be placed on early photographic personalities, technologies, and the critical response to the medium. Meets the Arts and Humanities requirement of the Core Curriculum.

Prerequisite: ART 1413
