EGL 3413 American Literature

Three hours (On Campus)
This course introduces the student to major and minor American writers from colonial times through the middle of the twentieth century (e.g. Bradstreet, Douglass, Melville, Twain, Baldwin). Students will be introduced to writing and research strategies regarding literary analysis. Meets the literature component of the Integrated Humanities requirement or the Arts and Humanities requirement of the Core Curriculum (cannot meet both core requirements).

Prerequisite: EGL 1023  or EGL 1093
