ART 3413 Comic Book and Sequential Art

Three hours
This course introduces the art of developing a comic strip. The class focus is on learning the basic principles of storytelling in comic book form. Covers comic book terminology, structuring a story, comic book layout, panel transitions, penciling and drawing for comic book art, developing a comic book character, and constructing the environment of the story. The course is intended for students who have some drawing experience.

Prerequisites: ART 1123  and ART 1243
