ECN 2043 Economies of the European UnionThree hours Introduction to micro- and macro-economic issues through consideration of the Irish economy and the larger environment of the United Kingdom and the European Union. Students have the opportunity to meet leading business and trade union figures in Ireland and to visit industrial development bodies and financial and business organizations, with a view to become conversant in economic theories and their application to decision-making in private and public sector organizations. Meets the Social and Behavioral Sciences requirement of the Core Curriculum.
