Student Learning Outcomes

  1. The Learner and Learning - Candidates will apply principles of learner development and learning differences to create safe, supportive learning environments in order to work effectively with diverse families in P-12 schools.
     
  2. Content - Candidates will apply knowledge of content to developing equitable and inclusive learning experiences.
     
  3. Instructional Practice - Candidates will apply InTASC standards to assessments, plans for instruction and instructional strategies to provide equitable and inclusive learning for P-12 students.
     
  4. Professional Responsibility - Candidates will apply knowledge of professional responsibility to engage in professional learning, act ethically and work effectively with P-12 students.
     
  5. Performance Competency - The student will demonstrate performance ability sufficient to use at least one instrument as a teaching tool and to provide, transpose, and improvise accompaniments.

Requirements for the Bachelor of Music Education (B.Mus.Ed.) degree with major in Music, K-12 Certification

University Core Curriculum - 39 hours


Program requirements satisfy 9 of the 48 hours in the Core Curriculum.
