Theatre Minor

Student Learning Outcomes

  1. Students will co-create and perform theatrical literature, demonstrating stylistic insight, technical proficiency, artistry, and a scholarly thought process.
     
  2. Students will contribute to and demonstrate a thorough understanding of the theatrical production process.
     
  3. Students will develop a broad knowledge of theatre history, historical styles and performance practices.
     
  4. Students will demonstrate a working knowledge of all aspects of technical theatre and application of theatre technology used in various theatrical professions.
     
  5. Students will demonstrate proficiency in improvisation, stage combat, acting styles, and directing.
     
  6. Students will develop the skill of reflection and expression of thought as it relates to relationships between theatre, performance, story and culture.
