An undergraduate, B.S. program to educate students in developing fundamental artistic and technical skills as a foundation to their advancement as a VFX artist. While learning hands-on, applied, cinematic, and digital post-production skills, students gain the experience of applying those tools to a specific area of VFX specialization as they develop professional productions for their senior portfolios. Student Learning Outcomes- Students will demonstrate the ability to generate creative, innovative, problem-solving ideas.
- Students will demonstrate the ability to practice their media at a high level.
- Students will understand the professional practices in their field.

Requirements for the Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree with major in Visual FX

University Core Curriculum - 45 hours
Program requirements satisfy 3 of the 48 hours in the Core Curriculum. - Three hours of the Arts and Humanities elective area are satisfied by one of the following: ART 2163 , ART 2233 , ART 2343 .
Visual Arts Core - 11 hours
Visual FX Major - 42 hours
Minor field or electives as necessary to complete minimum total hours
