Musical Theatre Minor

This minor is designed for students wishing to supplement an undergraduate degree with 21 hours of study in musical theatre.
Student Learning Outcomes:
- Students will co-create and perform theatrical literature, demonstrating stylistic insight, musical competency, technical proficiency, artistry, and a scholarly thought process.
- Students will contribute to and demonstrate a thorough understanding of the theatrical production process.
- Students will develop a broad knowledge of musical theatre history, historical styles and performance practices.
- Students will demonstrate a working knowledge of all aspects of technical theatre and application of theatre technology used in various theatrical professions.
- Students will demonstrate proficiency in dance, vocal technique, and acting styles.
- Students will develop the skill of reflection and expression of thought as it relates to relationships between theatre, performance, story and culture.
