This degree equips students to become meaningful partners in God’s redemptive story through the arts. Students learn and apply practical creative skills to nurture and serve their communities in the areas of technical production, performance, and arts education and advocacy. Graduates are leaders of cultural development and transformation.

Student Learning Outcomes
- Students will create, collaborate, and perform musical and theatrical literature, demonstrating stylistic insight, technical proficiency, artistry, and a scholarly thought process.
- Students will contribute to and demonstrate a thorough understanding of musical and theatrical production processes.
- Students will develop a broad knowledge of music and theatre history, styles, and performance practices.
- Students will be able to understand performing arts pedagogy and how to apply that pedagogy to the training of others.
- Students will demonstrate a working knowledge of technology and technical processes in various contexts as applicable to their concentration.
- Students will demonstrate proficiency in essential practices and skills related to their concentration.
- Students will be able to apply the skill of reflection and expression of thought as it relates to relationships between Christianity, performance, story, and culture.

University Core Curriculum - 42 hours
Program requirements satisfy 6 of the 48 hours in the Core Curriculum.
Core Curriculum Courses
Ensemble
4 semesters of Ensemble participation from the following - 2 hours must be upper-division course work
Performing Arts Core - 15 hours
Concentration Options
18 hours from one of the following:
Successful Completion of the Upper-Division Applied Admittance Exam in the applied emphasis
Second major, minor field, area of interest, or electives as necessary to complete minimum total hours
Minimum total semester hours - 120
