Student Learning OutcomesStudents graduating with a major in History will: - Be able to apply a Christian perspective to the analysis of historical documents and the presentation of historical narratives.
- Be able to write an arguable thesis statement and support their thesis with evidence.
- Be able to understand basic historical events, ideas, and people, as well as key ideas in the study of history.
- Be able to analyze primary sources.
- Be able to analyze and evaluate secondary sources.

University Core Curriculum - 36 hours
Program requirements satisfy 12 of the 48 hours in the Core Curriculum. - HST 2013 and HST 2023 are satisfied in the program requirements.
- Six hours of the Arts and Humanities elective area are satisfied by two of the following: HST 2113 , HST 2123 , HST 2133 , HST 2153 , HST 3233 , HST 3283 , HST 3393 , HST 3423 , HST 3433 , HST 3443, HST 3453 , HST 3523 .
