Music Minor

The student must successfully complete work in the classroom, ensemble participation, and private instruction in applied music (either private or class)-voice, piano, or another approved instrument.

Requirements for minor in Music - 19 hours

Please note required prerequisites for each course as specified in the course descriptions. Please note Music Fee Schedule for courses where fees apply.

Applied Music Instruction

Four hours (either private or class)

Ensemble participation

Two hours (see ensemble participation requirements)

Eight hours from MUS courses

At least six hours must be upper-division course work
