Student Learning Outcomes
The Department of Teacher Education, in keeping with the overall goals of the university, expects graduates to demonstrate the following broad learner outcomes:
- Candidates will synthesize and apply in-depth content knowledge to design interdisciplinary and standards-aligned learning experiences.
- Candidates will be able to design, implement, and evaluate instruction that integrates evidence-based strategies utilizing plans for inclusion and differentiation.
- Candidates will be able to develop and analyze formative assessments to interpret student data and adjust instructional decisions accordingly.
- Candidates will be able to critically evaluate professional practice, engage in reflective growth, and collaborate with stakeholders ethically.
Requirements for the Bachelor of Science in Education (B.S.E.) degree with a major in Social Studies

Program requirements satisfy 18 of the 48 hours in the Core Curriculum. The Core Curriculum Professional Education - 46 hours
