Student Learning Outcomes
The Department of Teacher Education, in keeping with the overall goals of the university, expects graduates to demonstrate the following broad learner outcomes:
- Candidates will synthesize and apply in-depth content knowledge to design interdisciplinary and standards-aligned learning experiences.
- Candidates will be able to design, implement, and evaluate instruction that integrates evidence-based strategies utilizing plans for inclusion and differentiation.
- Candidates will be able to develop and analyze formative assessments to interpret student data and adjust instructional decisions accordingly.
- Candidates will be able to critically evaluate professional practice, engage in reflective growth, and collaborate with stakeholders ethically.

University Core Curriculum - 33 hours
Program Requirements satisfy 15 of the 48 hours in the Core Curriculum. - The Intercultural Engagement elective area is satisfied by ED 2033 .
- The Mathematics elective area is satisfied by MTH 1163 .
- The six hours of the Natural Science elective area, including the lab requirement, are satisfied by two of the following: BIO 1123 (with lab BIO 1121 ), CHM 1123 (with lab CHM 1121 ), PHY 1113 (with lab PHY 1111 ), PHY 1123 (with lab PHY 1121 ).
- The Social and Behavioral Sciences elective area is satisfied by ED 2143 .
Core Curriculum Courses Professional Education - 46 hours
