Outdoor Program Management, M.S.

Given the increasing complexity in the outdoor industry as camps and outdoor programs are consolidating into larger organizations, outdoor pursuits are being used to enhance education, corporate training, and therapeutic treatment. The M.S. in Outdoor Program Management degree prepares students who desire to move toward executive director or site manager roles within the outdoor industry.

Student learning Outcomes:

Upon graduation, JBU’s graduate students will be able to: 

  • Demonstrate redemptive behavior by integrating global, ethical, and moral practices from a Christian worldview. (Ethics and Christian Worldview)
  • Use leadership tools needed to build effective organizations.  
  • Demonstrate advanced leadership/organizational skills and knowledge necessary for professional growth and success. (Business/Organizational Skills and Knowledge)
  • Analyze complex situations, identify relevant issues, apply appropriate concepts and skills, develop conclusions, and implement effective actions. (Critical Thinking and Communication)
  • Design and implement organizational programs that develop all members to be mature and effective in their roles.
