ART 3403 Film Theory and Criticism

Three hours
An examination of the origins and development of film criticism and theory that includes both an analysis of selected motion pictures and the application of theoretical principles. Students learn about various schools of analysis including genre, auteur, feminist, Marxist, and Christian.

Prerequisites: ART 1313  and ART 2123
