EGL 2423 American Literature II

Three hours

This course introduces the student to major and minor American writers from after the Civil War to the present (e.g., Twain, Chesnutt, Eliot, Miller, O’Connor, Morrison, Alexie). A scholarly paper is required. Meets The Arts and Humanities requirement of the Core Curriculum.

Prerequisite: EGL 1023 or EGL 1093
