BIO 2334 Fundamentals of MicrobiologyFour hours (On Campus) An introduction to the principles of microbiology with an emphasis on microorganisms that are important for health and disease in humans. Topics will include structure, function, metabolism, pathology, epidemiology, and diagnostic procedures for identification. Methods for prevention and control of microbial disease will be covered along with a basic understanding of the immune system. This course will not fulfill requirements for the Biology major or minor. Three hours lecture/discussion and one two-hour laboratory per week. An additional fee may be associated with this course.
Prerequisite: BIO 1124 Corequisite: BIO 2334L Offered on campus Spring semester
