GSC 1033 AstronomyThree hours (On Campus) A general education course consisting of the study of the basic concepts in astronomy and space science including a study of Newtonian mechanics, Kepler’s laws, solar phenomenon, the near-earth space environment, stellar evolution, classification and spectra, types of galaxies, and cosmology. Meets the non-lab Natural Science requirement of the Core Curriculum.
Prerequisite: minimum ACT math score of 19, or minimum SAT math score of 510, or CLT math score of at least 18, or MTH 0153
