HST 3433 History of the Middle East, 600-1800Three hours (On Campus) A study of the major political, religious, and social forces that shaped life in the Middle East from the time of Muhammad to the early modern period. Special attention is given to the development of the Islamic tradition and the interactions between Muslims, Jews, and Christians. Meets the Arts and Humanities requirement of the Core Curriculum.
