Leadership Studies Minor

The Leadership Studies minor is designed to empower and equip students from any discipline to be dynamic leaders. Designed to be cross-disciplinary in approach, well-grounded in academic theory, and practical in application, the minor covers the discipline of leadership at the core, as well as leadership competencies in a wide variety of contexts. The leadership studies minor is also designed to coordinate seamlessly with LSI - the Leader Scholars Institute.
Students must achieve a cumulative grade point average of 2.25 in each minor.
Student Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of the minor, students will be able to:
- Develop a personal leadership philosophy rooted in faith, academic literature, and personal discovery.
- Demonstrate understanding of major leadership theories and their application in the organizational context.
- Develop self-awareness and social-awareness and apply both to the leadership context.
- Practice leading change by creating and implementing an applied leadership project synthesizing personal leadership philosophy and best practices.
