Civil Engineers are professionals who design, construct, and maintain infrastructure projects in the public and private sector. These include roads, buildings, airports, tunnels, bridges, and utility systems. The Minor in Civil Engineering Management is intended to supplement the Mechanical Engineering program with the following additional skills: land and engineering surveys, building structures, cost estimating, planning, scheduling, contract administration, VDC (virtual design and construction), and concrete testing. This minor, coupled with the strong design component of the mechanical engineering program, will position the graduate to manage civil construction projects for large contractors, design firms, or government agencies.
Available only to students receiving a B.S.M.E.
