Student Learning Outcomes
- Students will demonstrate core knowledge expected within the related Kinesiology fields.
- Students will design, implement, and evaluate programs for wellness, health, and physical fitness assessments.
- Students will demonstrate knowledge of cognitive subject matter as described in the clinical proficiencies section in the Athletic Training Education Competencies, 5th edition.
- Students will incorporate decision making, skill application, and attitudes/values consistent within the framework of the psychomotor and affective domain as described in the Athletic Training Education Competencies, 5th edition.

University Core Curriculum - 44 hours
The Wellness elective is covered by KIN 1002 , the Life Science elective is covered by either BIO 1003 or BIO 1124 (BIO 1124 is required in the Sports Medicine Emphasis), the Physical Science elective is covered by one of GSC 1023 , CHM 1014 , CHM 1124 (CHM 1124 is required in the Sports Medicine Emphasis), or PHY 1114 , and the Social Science elective is covered by PSY 1013 in the program requirements. Kinesiology Major Core - 22 hours
Professional emphasis in Health and Wellness or Sports Medicine
Health and Wellness Emphasis - 17-19 hours
Sports Medicine Emphasis - 27 hours
Kinesiology major electives - 6 hours (minimum)
Minor field or electives, to fulfill prerequisites for graduate school in consultation with academic advisor, as necessary to complete minimum total hours
