Student Learning Outcomes

  1. Students will be able to apply programming and graphic design knowledge to develop a gaming product.
  2. Students will be able to demonstrate writing skills relevant to storytelling in game design.
  3. Students will be able to anticipate, identify, and resolve moral and ethical dilemmas through their understanding and application of the Christian worldview.

Requirements for the Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree with major in Game Design

University Core Curriculum - 30 hours


Program requirements satisfy 18 of the 48 hours in the Core Curriculum.

  • Three hours of the Arts and Humanities elective area are satisfied by EGL 2273 .
  • The Mathematics elective area is satisfied by MTH 1163.  
  • The Social and Behavioral Sciences elective area is satisfied by PSY 1013  and PSY 3423 .
  • Three hours of the Natural Science elective area, including the lab requirement, are satisfied by PHY 1113  (with lab PHY 1111 ) or PHY 2213  (with lab PHY 2211 ).
  • The Intercultural Engagement elective is satisfied by one of the following: HST 3283 , HST 3433 , HST 3443 , HST 3483 , or POL 3253 .
