FAM 3223 Principles of Effective ParentingThree hours (On Campus) The course focuses on principles of effective parenting including theoretical approaches to understanding parent/child relations, parenting styles, the etiology of child behaviors, and mechanisms of behavior change. Various family structures and interactions over the family lifespan are considered. The course will also explore biblical and theological principles of parenting. Meets the Social and Behavioral Sciences requirement of the Core Curriculum.
Prerequisite: sophomore standing Offered on campus Fall and Spring semesters
