Graduate Pathway Options
John Brown University undergraduate students may begin work on a graduate degree after reaching junior status (60 completed hours) by declaring a Graduate Pathway. Once students declare a Graduate Pathway, their academic plan will reflect the courses required, and they will be assigned a graduate advisor in addition to their undergraduate advisor. Additional information can be viewed under Academic Policies-Graduate Pathway.
A graduate pathway in business provides students with graduate course work, which may be applied toward the JBU M.B.A. in Business degree program at the completion of their undergraduate degree.
Students with a business undergraduate major would complete 12 hours of credit.
Students with a non-business major must have either completed or take ATG 1163 Accounting for Decision Making or ATG 2173 Principles of Financial Accounting, and FIN 3003 Principles of Finance before completing 12 additional hours of graduate credit.
For the business pathway options, a minimum grade of ‘C/2.0’ or better is required in each graduate course.
