EGL 2213 World Literature IThree hours Readings of the major writers from antiquity through the Renaissance. Includes European authors such as Homer, Virgil, Dante, and Cervantes as well as classics of non-Western literature such as Gilgamesh, Chinese poetry, Persian epic, and Japanese drama. A scholarly paper is required. Meets The Arts and Humanities requirement of the Core Curriculum.
Prerequisite: EGL 1023 or EGL 1093 Offered spring semester (odd-numbered years)
