The Outdoor Leadership Ministries with Wilderness Medicine equips students who are motivated to work in a helping profession to provide specialized services in unique locations. Whether you seek a role as an adventure guide or trainer, an adventure program manager, or just want to contribute in other emergency medical roles this degree will provide the training and background to enter this work with confidence and experience. Possible careers in this area include Wilderness Guide, WFR and WFA instructor, Ambulance Service, ER Medical Technician or Camp Adventure Manager. With additional training, students could pursue careers as a Firefighter or a Wildland Fire Fighter.

University Core Curriculum - 45 hours
Program requirements satisfy 3 of the 48 hours in the Core Curriculum.
- Three hours of the Arts and Humanities elective area are satisfied by one of the following: BBL 3413 , BBL 3423 , BBL 3433 , BBL 3443 , BBL 3453 , BBL 3463 , BBL 3473 , BBL 3613 , BBL 3623 , BBL 3633 , BBL 3663 .

Advanced Medical Courses - 8 hours
8 hours of EMTA Basic course work to be taken at Northwest Arkansas Community College (NWACC) and transferred to JBU consisting of:
EMTA 1004 Basic Emergency Medical Technician I
EMTA 2004 Emergency Medical Technician II
Minor field or electives as necessary to complete minimum total hours
